J. Edward (Silent Joe) Balson Veteran's Award

The J. Edward (Silent Joe) Balson Veteran’s Award will be awarded to a military veteran enrolled in 6 or more credits/billable hours with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Applicant must be a Baltimore County resident working toward their first Associates degree. Student must demonstrate financial need by completing the 2022-2023 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Preference will be given to a Navy veteran.

Eligible applicants will be contacted to submit a 500 word, handwritten essay on the importance of public service as it relates to their chosen career goals.
