Celena Hadlock Scholarship

The Celena Hadlock scholarship was established to support a CCBC student who plans to enroll in multiple World Language courses at CCBC and pursue a course of study at a four-year institution in World Languages, Linguistics, Intercultural Communication or International Relations (fields that require language study leading to meaningful proficiency in a language other than English).

Award recipient will be in a declared Associate’s Degree at CCBC that includes World Language study. The recipient of this scholarship must enroll in four levels of CCBC World Language courses (101, 102, 201 and 202). Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 CCBC GPA and demonstrate financial need by filing the 2023-2024 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

All applicants will write an essay in the application identifying why they need this scholarship and why they are pursuing world language study or some of CCBC’s Global Education classes. First generation, English as a Second Language student preferred.
