Catonsville Psychology Department Scholarship

The CCBC Catonsville Psychology Department: *Pathway to Success Scholarship *will offer the recipient a $250.00 award for the current semester, as well as the opportunity for up to an additional $500.00 at the point of graduation from CCBC and acceptance to a 4 year institution. The *Pathway to Success Scholarship *is intended to support a student planning to pursue a career in Psychology. The applicant must be working toward the CCBC Associate of Arts degree in Humanities and Social Sciences.

• Applicant must have an “A” in Psychology 101 (course must have been taken at CCBC Catonsville campus, online, or at the Owings Mills, Randallstown, or Hunt Valley extension centers).
• Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA at the time of application and be enrolled in courses that follow the CCBC Psychology transfer guidelines for an Associate of Arts in Humanities & Social Sciences.
• Students must submit the required essay.

The student selected for this scholarship award will automatically be eligible for a second scholarship called the Catonsville Psychology “Completion Scholarship” once they are ready to graduate from CCBC, have successfully completed a CCBC Associate of Arts degree in Humanities and Social Sciences, and have been accepted into a four year university /college with a major in Psychology. The student will not need to reapply for this second scholarship. The monetary award for the “Completion Scholarship” will depend on the student’s cumulative GPA. at graduation from CCBC (up to $500.00).

Award recipient will be selected by the CCBC Catonsville Psychology department faculty.
